About Us
The Illinois Community College System Foundation was originally founded to provide a single building with enough office space to house the entire operations of the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB). Since its inception, the Foundation has grown, as has the building, renting the excess office space to provide additional funds to be used toward the greater goal: to serve and support the students, faculty, staff, and administration of the Illinois Community College System. The Foundation manages over $2 million in investments that generate funds for the various scholarships that are awarded at all 48 of the community colleges in the 39 districts in Illinois. Each year the Foundation gives up to $100,000 in scholarships to students, and supports programs like the Illinois Community College System Leadership Scholarship, which benefits a community college administrator pursuing a post-graduate degree and performing a study that will benefit the System.
Vision Statement
When established, The vision of the Illinois Community College System Foundation (ICCSF) was and remains becoming one of the three leaders in the Illinois Community College System by providing leadership; financial resources to support faculty, staff, students, courses and programs, and facilities; and to enhance the image and successes of the Illinois Community College System throughout the State of Illinois and the nation.
Mission Statement
The mission of the ICCSF is to serve as a 501(c)3 foundation to support all of Illinois' 39 Community College Districts at 48 campuses working through each district's foundation to provide student scholarships, and other program support.
